A UK venture studio, based in Leeds and founded in 2026 by Andrew Heppinstall, launching six software companies at once across B2B and B2C markets.
A company that builds companies. It originates the ideas, builds the products in-house from the first commit to the first paying customer, and runs them on one shared set of tools.
A fund backs existing companies from a distance. An incubator hosts outside founders for a while. A venture studio does neither: it builds and owns its own companies.
Andrew Heppinstall founded the studio in July 2026. He is the sole director and sole shareholder of Unavoidable Studio Ltd (Companies House 17367981).
Leeds, United Kingdom. Registered office: 152 Osmondthorpe Lane, Leeds LS9 9EG.
Unavoidable CRM (live), the two moonshots Unavoidably Secure (live) and Unavoidably Social, Aisle Reply (built), Rootpup (MVP) and Yorkshire Screens (pre-launch).
Unavoidable CRM went live in July 2026 and is in use by UK small businesses. Unavoidably Secure, one of the two moonshots, is also live and taking bookings for audits.
Unavoidably Secure (compliance and web risk audits for UK dental practices, care providers and regulated small organisations, live now) and Unavoidably Social (UK-built social scheduling). Both aim at UK category leadership in markets US incumbents currently dominate.
Each product has its own website, linked from its page in the portfolio. Unavoidable CRM, for example, is at unavoidablecrm.com.
The studio can spin it out into its own company (an SPV), while the shared platform keeps compounding for the rest of the portfolio.
A single early-stage software bet is roughly a 15% chance of a meaningful return. Six bets on one platform improve that meaningfully, though not to the naive 62%, because they share a founder, a platform and a channel. The studio's correlation-adjusted range is 30 to 45%.
The in-house foundations every product runs on: one design system, one approach to logins and billing, one deployment pipeline and one way of handling support.
Dedicated build time for each product, short and frequent check-ins, good documentation and shared infrastructure that removes repeated setup work.
Yes. The blog covers how the studio operates week to week and the decisions behind the portfolio, with clear lines on what stays private.
